Stacy has a range of experience in the areas of commercial, retail and residential property transactions including:

  • Hotel purchase –managed the transfer of 57 lots in a hotel in Cairns, Queensland.
  • Retail leasing – acted for one of the largest discount pharmaceutical retailers in all their nationwide leasing matters including the purchase of retail premises.
  • Retirement village leases – acted for the scheme operator of two (2) large retirement villages in Queensland and New South Wales.
  • Commercial leasing – drafted an aircraft hanger lease and managed lease amendments and variations for warehouses and office spaces.
  • Residential and commercial conveyancing – managed high volume conveyance files which included acting for first-home buyers, commercial investors and self-managed superannuation funds in both Queensland and Victoria.

  • Self-managed superannuation funds – assisted an accountant and financial planning firm in establishing self-managed superannuation funds for clients including preparation of deeds, registration of new corporate trustees and compliance with the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 (Cth).
  • Asset protection – assisted various clients in implementing asset protection strategies for their businesses including restructuring advice, establishment of new corporate entities, drafting of licence agreements, the transfer of intellectual property and compliance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
  • Private loans and mortgages – drafted and prepared loan and mortgage documents for private lenders in relation to property purchases including registration of mortgages with the Titles Office and advancing funds for settlement.

  • Travel franchise – acting for the franchisor of a large travel business including review and maintenance of their suite of franchise documents and amending same to comply with changes to the Franchising Code of Conduct.
